The Family YMCA exists to serve the needs of its communities, but we couldn't address these needs without collaborators in Los Alamos and Española. Using the following links, you may read more about the YMCA's impact on personal lives and in our communities. Some recent major partnerships are detailed below.

The state of New Mexico's Youth Conservation Corps awarded The Family YMCA significant grants in 2009, 2010 and 2011 ($121K, $149K and $123K) to employ 18 youth from Los Alamos and Española. The goals of the program are to improve fireline trails, address wildfire erosion problems, create new trails and build friendships among these neighboring youth.
A separate grant from the Delle Foundation funds the Y's Earth Service Corps (YES Corps) volunteer summer long service-learning program for youth ages 11 to 16. We partner with Los Alamos County to address community trail issues. The works of these combined youth groups are detailed here.

Please see the Española Teen Center's page for information on major Center supporters.
