The Family YMCA offers day camps for youth in grades K-6th during Summer Break, Winter Break, Spring Break and on some school in-service days. Camps run from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Children enjoy going on field trips, playing group games, and doing arts and crafts projects in a well-supervised environment. Two healthy snacks are provided each day; the child must bring a sack lunch. Fees vary according to the number of days the child is enrolled. Detailed price listings may be located in a parent handbook or call the YMCA. Registration must be completed at the YMCA; however the registration form is available here.

The YMCA also offers various camps in our Sports Department.

After School

Schedules:
The YMCA provides a safe, fun, secure, supervised environment with a variety of quality experiences for children after school. The programs include activities such as indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, sports, guest presentations and field trips. Our core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility are emphasized. This licensed program is available at all elementary schools in Los Alamos and White Rock. The program operates on school days, including common planning time days and conference weeks from when school is dismissed until 5:30 pm. Financial aid is available. Cost varies according to the number of days enrolled. Registration forms must be turned in at the YMCA.

Friday Night Fun

This program is for parents who need a night out. Care is provided for youth ages 5 to 12, from 6 pm to midnight, on select Fridays each month during the school year. Programs provides dinner and an evening of enriching and age appropriate activities for all children. Cost is $25 for first child and $7 for each additional child in a family.

Hours of Operation:

M, T, W, Th: 5:30 am - 10 pm
Friday: 5:30 am - 9 pm
Saturday: 8 am - 7 pm
Sunday: 9 am - 6 pm
Most Holidays: 10 am - 6 pm (or 3 pm)
Closed: New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas

Climbing Gym Hours with Scheduled Monitors

Mondays, Wednesdays: 11:45 - 1:15 pm; 5:30 - 10 pm
Tuesdays, Thursdays: 5:45 - 7:15 am; 11:45 - 1:15 pm; 5:30 - 10 pm
Fridays: 3:30 - 5 pm

The Wall is kept open strictly through volunteer monitors. Active monitors may open the climbing gym additional hours if it is not booked for use. Call the YMCA for availability.
